/{palmdir}/{user}/jpluck/{dir}/
Where {dir} is either card or ram. If you choose card, make sure you select where on the card to install them. You may need to activate the auto jplucking features to let you change it, but it is remembered after you turn it off. I use this process to jpluck some stuff before syncing. I just mount the drive on my unix side, run the job and have it drop the files into that dir. It works like a charm.

There was an older version of pinstall that I think was from a totally different source that would put the prc/pdb's int othe install dir w/o question. If you're interested, I'll try to find an old copy of it. Not sure about it's function in today's hotsync.exe.

I want to use JPluck just for the Pluck This facility.
I can get it to launch and run, but I can't manage to
install the damn pdbs that are generated.
pdb files can be installed with the install tool, just like a new application. For instance, depending on your directory setup
C:\palm\instapp.exe .\newpluck.pdb
will offer to install newpluck.pdb. If you don't cancel, it will be installed at the next hotsync.
