We're saying two different things, both true. I agreed with you that a lot of people want it dead-bang simple. They want ease in getting into the game. You're also saying that those who want to stay in the game should have enough dedication to use test VMs. I agree. In the case of my 0 to 5mph video on HTML and *especially* on Rust, the learner need do very little. Interestingly, I tried the same thing on Go, and it was much tougher. Go's compiler and linter can't hold a candle to the helpfulness of Rust's error messages. Oh, and Kevin Chadwick, I'll give see how the same technique works with Ada. I haven't forgotten. I'll probably be doing these things as presentations before doing them as videos.
