Funnily, I have 2 BSNL phone lines at home (from the same exchange
office) in Hadapsar and the one I use for the net doesnt work with tone
dialing.. both numbers are 2681-xxxx.
The way I confirmed this is that if I do tone dial on the modem or try
to dial a number with a phone set to tone nothing happens on the
line... the dial tone stays on like it doesnt recognise the tones...
I havent bothered to check why or try to fix it or ask the phone
people...
