My config is p-3+ i810. I had made a mistake in not installing grub, and the install did not give me option to make a floppy later. I tried to boot using FC-1's grub and got same error. Later did a booot from FC-3 1st cd and linux rescue....yes....yes... mnt/sysimage and grub-install /dev/hda.. again did not work...on net some guy adviced making new initrd did that.. unsuccessful. Reinstalled with kernel option of linux 3. booted successfully using new grub then vi /etc/xorg.conf and added Option "NoAccel" to grahic card section.. startx...and lo fc-3 with 2 stupid panels taking up deskspace and no gui switchdesk.
