If you like Pico - then get Joe anyway and invoke it as jpico - I assume
all the versions of the joe package come with this option - it will load
joe with the pico key mappings so you have what you're used to with Pico
but all the macro and windowing features as well.
I just tried it since I have been using pico as well. Looks like what I
want. Since I want a little more than just straight text, I think I can
set up some macros to make HTML coding easier and faster than just hand
coding. But HTML is hardly appropriate for serious paper document work.
And when all is said and done, it looks like if you plan to do
any serious document work from the console (as I do) then the answer is
LaTeX or (Asa ang akong sunkod?) nroff (shudder....).
