MosCom can provide 128k guaranteed/4Mbps burst for $1900 a month. Of
course that's way out of range for most Internet cafes, but it's a pretty
competitive deal IMHO. That 128k goes straight to Napa Valley (no passing
through the MosCom NOC). However it's also simplex, you'd need a leased
line anyway..

If your local IP provider already has good bandwidth, you might want to
try the WaveLAN cards. They are spread-spectrum LAN cards that look just
like Ethernet, but only do 1-2Mbps. They work on the 800MHz
unlicensed medical band and are line-of-sight.

I saw a WaveLAN box on the roof of the Peak Tower in Makati (where the
MosCom NOC is located). If your establishment is line-of-sight to the ISP,
this might be a viable option.
