You could do away with the terminal window, loging-in and typing ppp by
automatically executing ppp.
To do this, you have to compile mgetty with -DAUTO_PPP and you have to
edit the options.config file (in my case) in /etc/mgetty+sendfax directory
to enable AutoPPP.
