Hello everyone,
I'm new in web technologies running on
the Linux platform (am also new in joining the PLUG list). I'm currently
looking for web databases technologies available on a Linux web host. I've
heard of using PHP3 (w/c I was told was equivalent to ASP in Windows NT) and
Perl CGI-scripts to access databases such as mySQL, mSQL, Oracle 8i, Sybase,
etc. My questions are:
1.) Are there any web database technologies I can
use to provide connectivity to Access97 or Access2000 database?
2.) What are major websites hosted by
Linux hosts using for database connectivity?
3.) Can you migrate from Access to databases such
as mySQL, mSQL?
I'd appreciate any help on the ff.
questions.
