technologies running on the Linux platform (am also new in joining the PLUG

Linux web host. I've heard of using PHP3 (w/c I was told was equivalent to ASP
in Windows NT) and Perl CGI-scripts to access databases such as mySQL, mSQL,
Oracle 8i, Sybase, etc. My questions are: > > 1.) Are there any web database

database?
remote Access databases could be 'accessed' via perl DBI/DBD ODBC modules. To
complete the picture, use Perl/CGI or embperl.

I know Deja.com is exclusively Linux oriented.

Via Perl DBI you can do almost anything you can with the data, as they are
accessible via a uniform API.
