A "dream" machine for Linux? :)
Linux now runs on the S/390 architecture. Compiled
binaries are available that contain everything to
install a complete GNU/Linux OS featuring ELF binary
format, Xlib, perl, and more. Apache and Emacs can be
easily built (and are already part of the large root
file system).
