Too bad I came late to the Penguin Computing presentation at last year's Linux
conf. The Penguin reps claimed that their boxes scaled well, and I wanted to ask
what changes, if any, they made to the kernel to accomplish that. And further to
the point of scaling, have there been any studies of performance increment per
additional processor compared to NT? I remember seeing a paper several years
back (NT 3.5 pa yata) which said that NT's dual-processor performance was 170%
better than a single-processor, and a quad-processor offered a performance
increase of 165% over a dual. Any processor-increment studies on Linux?
