Yes you're right. The S/390 IS the Linux dream machine. one of the users
was able to get 41,000 (that's right, 41,000) Linux instances running
stably on a single S/390 box.

I read this really nice white paper at the S/390 web site explaining why
S/390 is still the only mainframe-class hardware out there (Sun's E10000
notwithstanding).
