[plug] Telnet

Hi there !
Well today ive been making a telnet on my server and it takes almost 10 min
to connect into it ... and may mail responds so slow....but if i make a ping
the message is Reply from 204.71.200.245: bytes=32 time=238ms TTL=241 its
quite fast than the usual ... what could be the cause of this ???.. anyone
can help?...
