ALL new drives have reserved cylinders. Thus when bad sectors are
detected, the data in those sectors is automagically moved to the reserved
cylinders, so your OS does not see the bad sectors (this reserved
cylinders and moving is done by the drive FIRMWARE).

So if your SMART sees bad sectors, that means your drive has expended its
entire supply of reserved cylinders. Which means your drive is going down
the drain. Which means you ought to throw it out or have it
warranty-claimed.
