Is the unit connected to the Internet?
Do you have a valid named running?
check your /etc/resolv.conf

try running nslookup and check what it says...
if it's just local, you may want to include the ip address of all
workstations in the /etc/hosts file 
if it's on the internet, make sure your named is properly configured.
