Yes, postgres needs to be run as another user that's why it i
it needs the su -c command.  I dont think postgres has the 
-u option like bind does.  

I have a mandrake 6 installed on another computer and it
runs the su command instead of the tcsh/bash.

Is there an option/parameter somewhere that tell bash/tcsh
what to run whenever someone call su?
