Yup, there goes Lesstif indeed. While Lesstif has now reached (more or
less) Motif 1.2 compliance, the newly-released OpenMotif is 2.1.30 (the
latest bleeding-edge, including all the new Motif 2.1 widgets that bring
it to the level of M$ custom controls).

p.s. TOG is ware that their license is NOT OPEN SOURCE. In particular, you
cannot redistribute "for a fee" and YOU MUST PROVIDE SOURCE (a la GPL).
They're working on an open-source compliant license, but to quote them,
this was the closest they could get.

As for the jerks.. apparently TOG had some contractual obligation which
only expired in November 1999. So prior to that they really couldn't
release Motif source code. Note that Motif, while "owned" by TOG, was a
collaborative effort between IBM, Novell, Bull, SCO, etc.. so we really
should just be thankful it's free now.
