Depends how the connection (that long arrow you made) is made. If you're
connected via PPP then you could use HTTP or FTP (or if you've got proper
software up and running then ICQ, IRC or what have you). If you connect
directly (Linux server running say mgetty and client running some terminal
program) then you could use xmodem, zmodem, kermit (or again, what have
you). I use the command 'sz' to tell the Linux server to send a file using
the zmodem protocol which as my BBSing days taught me is the fastest I can
use (of those available to me, at least). It's even faster than
downloading via FTP because there's no PPP overhead (used to do this a lot
when Tridel still had shell access, hehehe). 'rz' to send a file to the
Linux box. :)
