I recompiled the kernel anyway for SMP support.. However, the system wont
boot with the SMP kernel.. After LILO, it says " Loading linux-smp.." then
it locks up with the message "No setup signature found...".. My old working
kernel is still in lilo, but when i rebooted to the old kernel, it boots but
the network function fails.. Which is a big problem with me coz Im on a
remote location..
What does the error message mean? I wonder how the old kernel was affected.
Perhaps it was when I did "make modules; make modules_install " after
compiling the SMP kernel?
