What you can do here is to use multiple NICs to and do some load
balancing, something similar to the Channel Bonding in Beouwlf. I think
D-Link(I think cisco and sun also) sells a multiport NIC which does the
job, but you have to use a switch to benefit from such kind of setup.
The actual setup will be multiple lines from the server to the
Switch, and then the usual one line to each workstation from the Switch.
