Xfree twm, fvwm2, lesstif mwm, openmotif mwm, and enlightenment are
all window managers. They define the look of each window that you
use under X. You need a window manager to create one or more windows
for each running app.
KDE and Gnome are complete desktop managers. Each requires a compatible
window manager (Gnome will work with fvwm2, mwm, and enlightenment).
