Solaris doesn't have an /etc/ld.so.conf. SunOS 4 had that (and Linux
cribbed it). Either add it to LD_LIBRARY_PATH or use the -Wl,-rpath
/usr/local/mysql/lib switch to gcc (forgot the exact semantics). Although
I don't think it is even necessary. I've been using MySQL on Solaris for
years, and never had t go through any unusual contortions. Oh wait.. he
he. I was using the precompiled binary from TcX.
