No offense, but for people who are familiar with Theo de Raadt, his
historic saga with the NetBSD developers (thus resulting the OpenBSD
fork), his in-your-face, straight-forward ranting with anyone he feels
he needs and must rant with, his brilliance in coding and his
extra-ordinary temper and attitude...this interview really, is not in
any way, a suprise.
So let's go on with our lives, let's continue to work with Linux, *BSD
and Windows and just shrug this issue off, just treat this article as a
freedom-of-speech thingie that people like Torvalds and de Raadt (but
not Balmer!) which with just a glimpse on a code can shout "hey, that's
crap!" is capable of doing so.

OUCH! I started the thread. Its not because of anything, I would just like
to share opinions to something that is important to ME! Yes it is just the
marketplace at work, if you want to simplify it that way. but really
isn't the 'marketplace' tilted to the favor of the few? Way back in
college, my old Organization have a term for that, IMPERIALISM. That word
way not totally fit or it may may even be applicable to the situation. But
the point is, even at a very technological level, there is inequality. Why
should one impose on the other just because he have more resources, more
power? Isn't that what is called hegemony? The fact of the matter is that
freedom is being curtailed. Don't get me wrong, I use Windows at work and
at home, hell, i'm not even that good at linux. But i love linux because
of the high degree of freedom that it offers, i may not be technically
adept at the moment to fully use that freedom, but atleast i use linux
knowing that i have that freedom. You see its a matter of PRINCIPLE.

i think a good definition of a "Linux loser" is someone who spends
interminable amounts of time on a mailing list discussing whether
"Linux is for losers." because anyone who has so much time to argue,
must not be doing real work with Linux.
really. it's time to get off it. as for Microsoft, they have lost a
number of blue-chip customers to Linux, so it's not surprising that
they've stepped up their propaganda offensive. Nothing surprising (or
Evil Empire-ish) there, just the marketplace at work.
