I beg to differ. The hardest part that I remember was choosing between FAT and HPFS during FDISK. I also remember that the first part of the install was console-based, then after the first reboot (and possibly last ;-), the installer was in GUI mode. OTOH, you *did* have to boot from floppies, whereas today's OS installers boot from CD. I think though that eCommStation, a repackaged OS/2, does boot from CD but I have to verify that.
