One of the most arduous tasks would be migrating data from Windows to GNU/Linux. I stumbled across this application that automates that data migration -- http://openmoveover.sourceforge.net/ -- although don't ask for feedback because I haven't tried it yet. It's the open source equivalent of Resolvo's MoveOver, which is supposed to be at resolvo.com but my browser couldn't find it. No matter. Mabuhay. ------------ Hello! Actually i dont think that that would be a real problem. The College's files is not that voluminous. I bet that it's under 2GB. That is if you dont consider MP3s as "real" data. My primary concern is their library indexing. Although it is not the main university library they just have around 1500-2000 volumes. As i recall they have a custom Library system that was written for Windows and based on Access. Does anyone know of a library indexing program? I'll Google this later, but if you of something that works great, it'll be greatly appreciated (and it will save me time and effort for trial and error :)) Thanks to all.
