I would prefer to have just have just one mailing list for plug rather than having plug-newbies, plug-misc, plug-jobs, etc. With the proper labeling like putting [newbie], [jobs], etc... we would be able to sort messages from the list and avoid reading whatever message annoys you.  It would be easier for people like me who subscribes to a lot of mailing list, not to mention all the personal emails, rss feeds, and newsgroup all dumped in your email client. I'm sure a lot of you guys are subscribed not only to plug but with lots of other lists. Just like the case of PHP mailing list, even if you use digest sometimes the amount of messages is overwhelming  [boring] to read. I respect the administrator's right to police a mailing list in order to maintain proper netiquette and order. On the other hand there should also be a balancing act not to intimidate newbies in posting question again and serve the basic purpose of sharing ideas and learning. Just my $0.02 worth.... peace.
