This might sound like flamebait to some of the Slackware lovers, pero
I'd suggest you use Ubuntu to upgrade your Slackware installation. :)

Kidding aside, I've done this before and it's less than desirable
compared to using a different distribution. You can probably look at the
slackware site and look for the HOWTO's they have there.

There isn't really a single tool which you can use to update/upgrade
your slackware install (aside from the usual
keyboard-monitor-cpu-and-a-lot-of-your-time combo).
