This schema you provided isn't really possible - afaik Windows insists
to be installed on a primary partition.

this is true for win98 but for winxp, at least the boot partition or the boot files needs to be in  a primary partition.

in the setup given, partition your hard disk, install first win98, then then winxp. it will ask you to use the fat32 partition of win 98 to store files used in bootup of winxp. then install your linux os.
