I'm trying to do this because my users are very curious (as you have
said...malicious) and therefore able to go to directories that are not
theirs and able to sniff files that are not theirs.
Our company policy is not one pc per person. PC's here are 2 to 3 persons at
one PC. Most of my users are SALES people so most of them are out of the
office all of the time. Most of them sniffs the clients' database of another
and they sometimes end in fighting. My sales people are IT people and
therefore knows what the basic "cd" command does.
Now, my main focus for them not to sniff the database or for them to end up
fighting is to deny my users to change dir except thier home.
rexonf....you know how to do this? tell me.

Just curious.... why would you want to do that?
Only reason I can think of is if your users are extremely malicious,
highly skilled hackers looking for vulnerable programs. In which
case, you are fighting a losing battle :)

How can I trap a regular user only to his home dir and NOT able to go to
other vital directories such as /, /etc, /usr, /var, and so on?
