good for you. but i hope the official made it into a city/municipal-wide policy
otherwise it would have less or no bearing and will end up as a mere "trial".

and if it does, salesrep of popular softwares wont take that long to knock
into the office and offer their products at a hugely discounted & irresistable
price. again, the consumer will always win.

I know this is not much, but still is an exception to the general perception that all government offices and units will never embrace open source.  Generalization really sucks.

And yes, he is already asking how to get that $100 laptop...
