I actually _won't_ disagree on you with this one; however I'd like to
point out that the current /root of the Philippine Republic is only
temporal, and even that will eventually be replaced by yet another
system administrator.  Let us only hope that this next /root will be
more competent, more sensible, and more geeky than the previous :P.
Thus all the Philippines' FTBFS bugs and RC shenanigans will be
exchanged in favor of fast and furious release cycles and MacBooks for
all.

Only then, I daresay, will a government borne on the wings of FOSS will
emerge.

On a more serious note, this is quite the reality of it; take Spain, or
Mexico, or Munich for example.  Will any municipality sponsor me for
Debconf6? :P
