now to veer off in another direction since medyo depressing yung thread. i just successfully "advocated" a teacher-friend of mine to install F/LOSS in their school laboratory.
You might be surprised to know that at a mozcom client (southridge -- one of the most expensive schools around) they were and are very interested in F/LOSS.
