Well, I thought so, too. But could not get the technical explanation for it. THank you guys for providing that to me.
I will install Bind on our mailserver and configure our adsl/modem (which has DHCP function, too) to make 10.0.0.3 it's primary NS, and digitelone's NS as secondary when it gives out network info.

I agress. Most probably the firewall rules are binded to the interface
and not the IP. Since you are accessing the router through the LAN
interface, there will be no port forwarding.
