Been there. Done that. BUT I am no GURU! With the power and vast options each command provide, it is so hard to pick out the ones you need for the particular purpose you have at that particular time ... particularly. LOL I would love to see the LINUX GURUs share one liners which are useful for everyday or even some specialized occasions. > if that's not enough you wouldn't want to miss trying to understand > all the files, directories, files inside the directories, and so > on..., under /etc With so few configuration files I have been examining, it requires a lot of effort to understand. > after doing both you will be able to ignore any linux newbie, linux > system / network administration book, and almost any linux book in the > bookstore, hehe, and even most unix books. I don't even want to begin imagining what I would look like after all those ... ROTFLMAO > or if you want an easier way, go to http://www.tldp.org/ ->The Linux > Documentation Project I find the HOWTOs here very very helpful ... especially for those things you never knew you could do ... EMPOWERMENT! I bet it will never end ... There will always be something to learn ... and that is good so you won't get bored in using your O.S. of choice. :D Thanks Winelfred! You have explicitly provided the procedure in helping others help themselves! NICE ONE! ;-) Cheers!
