A long time ago I picked up a bash book by Bill Joy at National
Bookstore. Small book. Good content. I think it's more proper to keep
using bash and as your needs come out so will your creativity.

TLDP's Advance Bash Scripting Guide by Cooper
<http://www.tldp.org/LDP/abs/html/> has a good cookbook-style of
arrangement. But most probably you've already looked into that.

Veering off-topic, Perl is nice. Ruby too.
