Hello Arys,

Just out of curiosity, what sort of one-liner tasks do you have in mind? Any specific task?

I've seen some very creative one liners in this mailing list before and I agree it would be quite nice if there was a wiki collection of certain tasks with people posting one-liner solutions for it. Of course, readability might take a hit if your main goal is to fit a task in one line no matter what - especially if you have pretty long sed/awk expressions.

I would love to see the LINUX GURUs share one liners which are useful for
everyday or even some specialized occasions.

if that's not enough you wouldn't want to miss trying to understand
all the files, directories, files inside the directories, and so
on..., under /etc

With so few configuration files I have been examining, it requires a
lot of effort
to understand.

after doing both you will be able to ignore any linux newbie, linux
system / network administration book, and almost any linux book in the
bookstore, hehe, and even most unix books.

I don't even want to begin imagining what I would look like after all those ...
ROTFLMAO
