about:plugins
and then look for gxine.
you should have this entry:
| video/quicktime | Quicktime animation | mov,qt | Yes |
| video/x-quicktime | Quicktime animation | mov,qt | Yes |
If there is none, that means, xine cannot really play that type of file for you.
what you can do is go to xine website and see if there's an available plugin for that file type. Mine has.
