in fairness to the bayanihan linux makers, i think it's a noble effort to create one that's geared towards the philippine/education setting. in my perspective though, i'd rather use the more common or well-supported distros like ubuntu because it allows me to patch security updates and keep track of upgraded packages more easily than by compiling the stuff by myself. i'm sure the others here will have their own reasons for using such and such distro or for compiling/rolling their own.

oo nga naman. wala naman talagang problema kung gumawa ka ng sarili
mong distro. PERO gaya gaya lang naman nangyayari e. Ano ba ng edge ng
bayanihan against the other debian based distros like Ubuntu, Xandros
?  Parang ang nangyayari, ang nagiging edge lang niya is, yung logo.
Iba kasi ang logo. HAHAHAHA

Sa sobrang rami ng distro. parang wala nang standard for linux
desktop. tapos sasawsaw pa ng kung ano ano. tapos magsasabi kayo na
"ang hirap mag advocate ng desktop sa linux" Imbes na mag-fork nalang
ng YET ANOTHER LINUX DISTRO, bakit hindi nalang ninyo ilagay ang oras
at pondo niyo sa ibang bagay? Anyway tax naman natin yun. Wala rin
palang mangyayari.


Ok mali na kung sa mali. Correction. Debianihan Linux pala. hindi
ubuntunihan! wekekekekekekek!
