not really. it can still be used as a _paper_weight_.

kiddin aside, typically the hard reset only restores
the settings and not the firmware unless stated
by the manual specific for a device.

without any access to the UI of the device, you
have no choice but re-flash the firmware at a much
lower-level. kindly contact Edimax's tech support
for more info.
