FTA:
"Technology school STI was tapped by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)
to provide training on open source technologies, notably on the Linux operating
system to 1,200 teachers from schools that were recipients of the PCs for Public
School Project (PCPS)."
....
"Under the partnership, STI will supply the trainers to the recipient schools for
regular hands-on training on Fedora Core 3 Linux and Open Office, both of which
are alternatives to the more popular and widely used Microsoft Windows operating
system and Microsoft Office."
.....
i hope this wouldn't end up as a flame-bait but why FC3 and not, let's say Ubuntu?
but if the reason behind it is to serve as a transition to the Fedora-based OLPC
then that is completely understandable.
"Society is important because of Ubuntu." --Bill Clinton (NOT referring to the distro).
