Oh, okay... So can you educate me please for my amusement and personal learning?

Already did in my post. Guess you missed that one eh?

Real property and means of production being owned by the state and
therefore the people --

Uh, no. The STATE in a communist government does not represent the people. You oughtto know that.

If you think about why Copyleft makes use of the rules of Copyright is
such that the thought of "ownership" of code becomes a misnomer --
where nobody would really *own* the code, and that everybody would
have the right to use it because everybody effectively "owns" it.

Not rerally. ONLY the author of a particular piece of code owns it, even under the GPL (unless you transfers it to someone else). The GPL is VERY
different from public domain.

You need more maintenance with Windows systems than Linux systems? And
you need even more administrators for Windows systems than Linux
systems? Really? Now isn't this FUD...

Gee, what planet have you been hiding on? Or do you believe M$ FUD?

I have personally experienced the cost savings of FOSS right here in Cebu in two actual office setups thatg I carried out. The proprietary solutions cost more than FIVE times as much. Right here in my office now, the cost of maintaining Windows machines is obscene. The FreeBSD machines require so little maintenance the admins have little to do. That's why they are made to do other stuff (like maintain those godawful Windows machines).

Cut the FUD, Dean.

I only have Disgust, Disdain, and Disappointment in the FOSS bill.

That's because you simply don't understand it or are favoring commercial interests. I hope it's the former. Yiu can still disabuse yourself of that.

Sorry, but because of the "nobody owns anything because everybody owns
everything" nature of FOSS, communists will love it

Wrong idea of the nature of FOSS. It empowers people. Gee, the commies would have loved that. Bwahahahahah!

Debunked so many times? Really now... Can you actually think of a
reason why Red China loves the fact that they got an OS kernel for
free, and wouldn't release their changes past the great firewall of
China? Or how NoKor is already benefiting from behind their iron
curtain?

Have ou ever wondered why the commies don't allow independent production of software in China? Guess who looks over theitr shoulders? FOSS? The commies use FOSS, but they don't let their people use it the way it's supposed to. You ought to know that. FUD again.

Maybe you ought to work in a communispro[paganda ministry. They'd love you there, unless, of course, you started using FOSS without their dorection (which is the way it's supposed to be used, if you didn't figure that out already).

Please knock off the Red scare tactics, Dean. They really don't convince many people here.

God bless!
