What is the model of your existing wifi card that is reported by Windows? Maybe some Linux distro already has support for it. I have great faith in Ubuntu. First time I installed Ubuntu 6.06 LTS, the Intel ProWireless wifi was instantly detected. Maybe you should try Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft. It might instantly detect your existing wifi card. The best way to proceed is to find out what brand and model your wifi card is, and to Google Linux+brandname+modelnumber. This will give you ideas on whether there is already support under Linux for that wifi card. P~Manalastas __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
