*nix admins on the other hand is different. Supply is small, and compounding the problem, companies in the north america wants senior system administrators most of the time. Talking to the Manager of a project i'm currently working, they are looking at *unix admins for 8 months now... and still counting.
The ADB job that has been periodically posted here and on linuxjobs has been unfilled for 6+ months now. So the admin shortage is not exclusive to the US. One would think a horde of people would jump at a job offer from ADB. I didn't jump. That was in late October-early November.
