I have the same modem i borrowed from our customer and its working
fine with 1.4.1. Im using it on an LFS system.
1.4.1 uses a more customizable modem configuration. it has unicode
bugs though so i have to patch up manually. its ok if you to stick to
latin 1. there are also patches to fix concatenation support for mo
messages.
