I'm in a budget right now so I'm looking for a laptop within the
25-35k range, but preferably within 25-30k. I've been checking out
pccorner's site and found a few laptops with linux (linpus, first time
I've heard of this) pre-installed on it. Anyone ever tried these
laptops? Most of these are Acer.

I'm using a BenQ Joybook with Turion64x2 and its bundled with Linpus
but Debian Etch and Ubuntu 7.04 run well along with suspend to ram in
ubuntu. The unit does not need any binary firmware or non-free video
drivers so its pretty good no-frills unit. It's not a beauty though
and its quite big because of the 15" display.

Unfortunately, I didn't buy this locally, but the cost would be around
40k. BenQ has a local presence too, but I'm not sure if they carry the
models sporting AMD CPUs.
