Don't be misled by the pre-installed linux on Acer..... I bought an acer aspire 5570 and to my dismay, the linux is merely a dos-type os. It does not have a fully GUI for you to use....
That simply means it didn't, for some reason or another, X Window and a desktop environment. Most of the members of this list should be able to set up a GUI. OTOH, I understand your disappointment, because most users would not know what to do without any hand-holding. -- Daniel O.
