Cocoy, Just a clarification, MAC OS X 10.0 to 10.4 are "unix like" which is the same with Linux. MAC OS X 10.5 "Leopard" which will come out officially next week,is the one certified to be called a true UNIX OS on the line, joining the ranks of Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, etc. both on the Desktop and Server space. By next week, I can proclaim that Unix is *easier* than windows on the Desktop. :) And since using OS X since last year, IMHO, it is currently indeed the best desktop OS compared to Linux and Windows. The thing with Linux for the desktop is it's average to above average compared to OSX/Windows. And the reason for this? Not one company except Ubuntu is serious on the Desktop market. Others like Redhat only do half hearted attempt to do it. Almost all are focusing on the server OS space. -- regards, Andre | http://www.varon.ca _________________________________________________ Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Read the Guidelines: http://linux.org.ph/lists Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
