As I wrote earlier, the Samsung ML-2010 explicitly claims Linux compatibility,
and its accompaying CD included a Linux driver (which didn't work with my
Debian and Kubuntu setups, but an older driver for ML-1710 did).

I'm not sure if this kind of uncertainty is acceptable to the buyer. If we
want to help Linux become acceptable to consumers, the list that we give to
local computer shops must be more specific and definite: like I can tell the
shops that my Kubuntu Linux set up works perfectly with the Samsung ML-2010
by using the ML-1710 driver. Then at least, some users might buy the printer
and use Kubuntu -- a few more points for Linux.
