hmmm...libc.so.6 is provided by the glibc package. you may have updated something prior to this error or tampered with the said file. you can probably use a live cd to mount ur file system and then restore the original file. hth "Richard Q. Had a kernel panic problem on my test server running Centos 5 this morning. It did not boot after resetting so I just removed a RAM module (found to be defective) and the machine ran smoothly afterwards. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of jan gestre Sent: Thursday, February 21, 2008 4:43 PM To: Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Technical Discussion List Subject: Re: [plug] kernel panik On Wed, Feb 20, 2008 at 9:40 PM, Kenneth P. HDD/(or in RAID) and RAM are the usual culprits. can you also send the exact kernel panic message to the list. I agree, we had a similar issue with one of our client's server, it just a case of defective RAM. Upon replacing the RAM the server is back up and running again. -----Inline Attachment Follows----- _________________________________________________ Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Read the Guidelines: http://linux.org.ph/lists Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
