It depends on the budget and the location of you branch office.. You can either work with DSL ( a lot cheaper ) only if HQ FTP server can be seen in the internet
You can use PLDT's IPVPN.. IIRC they have what they call "something" SHOP but only cater on limited bandwidth Or if you have line of sight on the HQ with a clear future on no obstruction you can buy wireless equipments with respect to distance.. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jun Salen Sent: Monday, April 07, 2008 9:34 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [SPAM] - [plug] OT: WAN Choices? - Email found in subject Hi, I am planning to replace our branch connection which currently using Dial-up provided by PLDT in order to transmits and receives file from HQ. Diagram below is how the connection was made. Branch workstation<-----(Dial-up)------>PLDT<----------(E1)-------->HQ Ftp server<---------(LAN)------>File server What I want to achieve is for the branch to become always online. What is your suggestion for alternative and what means of communication technology is needed to achieve that?
